My Personal Journey Started Here

My health and fitness journey started about 2 years ago when I weighed what I did 9 months pregnant.  I had a laundry list of problems at that time, including the following (and probably more):

  • I was in the worst shape of my life.  Just a brisk walk or taking the stairs in my home would leave me out of breath.
  • I was constantly fatigued.  The less I moved, the more tired I became.
  • I had serious issues with anxiety and depression requiring medication.
  • I had high blood pressure that had to be treated with medication.
  • I had a hard time keeping up with my son, who was about 5 at a time.
  • I neglected my duties as a mother and a wife because I was either too tired, or too apathetic do do anything about it.
  • My eating habits were poor and as a result, so were my family's.
  • I constantly had aches and pains and spent many hours in doctor's offices.
For years I would go on a fitness tirade for a few months and fizzle out.  I finally realized that it was time to make a lasting change.  A friend of mine started doing personal training sessions with me in her home.  I started seeing positive results, but after I started getting in better shape, I needed more of a challenge.  I started P90X and my life hasn't been the same since.
